Since the products are mostly geared towards a young target group, and because they are hard to find in the retail sector, advertising via social media networks is a particularly effective tool in reaching potential new customers.

The following example illustrates how worthwhile and interesting  such promotions are for end customers too: Customers receive a 10% commission when one of their Facebook friends buys something from enjoymedia.ch based on their recommendation. Facebook friends also receive a voucher worth CHF 20 if they order something from the online shop based on their friend’s recommendation. “Either way, we win new customers”, exclaims Mauro Naglieri. Regardless of the voucher system, Mauro Naglieri’s praise is for sobu’s low costs. “Normally, marketing tools involve making a large initial investment. ” This, however, is not at all the case with sobu. The cost-benefit analysis gives an excellent result.
